BS&T Digital working exclusively for Trafalgar Tours would love to meet a 1st class Senior Digital Content Editor to join the team. You’ll work within a team whose sole focus is on Trafalgar’s digital efforts so this is very much akin to a client side role. Please note that this role is currently working remotely and is for an initial 6 months fixed-term (there is potential for this to be extended or change to a permanent role).

What you’ll be doing:
Working with global and regional stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering Trafalgar’s digital strategy onsite. Within a team of digital content editors, you will be responsible for developing the user experience, customer journey and commercial performance of Trafalgar's digital domains (incl mobile) across 8+ international regions to maximise conversion and hit projected passenger targets each year. You will be providing direction and guidance within the team, wider business and with key stakeholders on Sitecore best practice to drive commercial and operational goals and work closely with the PO team and VP of Digital and Tech to shape the web development strategy to support these goals. This role works across tech, brand, creative, and content marketing teams to deliver a cohesive experience across all digital properties and touch points to international audiences and stakeholders.
Responsible for build of webpages across Trafalgar & Costsaver websites to support sales and marketing objectives.
Work with Performance Manager and SEO agency to deliver on SEO content strategy.
Responsible for UAT of website and digital products, ensuring new. developments are functional, fit for purpose, and capable of driving a positive user experience.
Working with Agile Scrum methodologies, with both in-house and third-party development teams to deliver enhancements and new developments.
Work with Product Teams to plan online product launches and roll-out, taking a lead role in internal communications and updates.
Be a hands-on resource to aid and assist the team with online product launches.
Lead on planning and prioritisation sessions, being accountable for resource allocation and project timelines, escalating any team blockers and issues.
Lead on CMS Management: Understanding of Sitecore workflows, multiple publish destinations (e.g. staging and production), Content Editor interface, Layout Details and managing assets in the Media Library.
Analyse & propose enhancements to aid customer experience on web and mobile channel.
Conduct regular feedback reviews and user testing to drive CRO strategy.
Diagnose, solve and communicate with internal customers on resolving bugs and support issues, maintaining a positive and helpful attitude at all times.
Assign and monitor team workload (BAU requests).
What you need to have:
This role requires you to have a flexible approach and the ability to manage the day-to-day processes and stakeholder requests. The role will entail working independently as well as part of a team liaising between business functions. The role reports to BS&T Digital’s head of technology.
The ideal candidate will be energetic and self-motivated with a real passion for delivering engaging, valuable and effective online experiences to our users.
A passion for travel
At least three years of experience working in similar roles
Knowledge of SEO principles and best practice requirements for websites
Understanding of core UX/UI and Information Architecture principles
Strong working knowledge of Sitecore, Adobe, Umbraco, or similar Content Management Systems
Experience of project and resource planning
Working knowledge of Google Analytics (or similar) for reviewing site/page performance metrics and reporting on such
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relay often complex information clearly, tactfully and concisely in both written and verbal communications to a variety of people and group sizes
Highly organised and disciplined to balance a number of priorities at any one time
Self-motivated, can be relied upon to follow up questions and outstanding actions
Superb attention to detail
Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
Educated to degree level, or possess relevant industry experience
